SESSION TYPES

1. ​NEW TO THE COURSE: ​

For individual teachers or departments who are starting a course from scratch. Contains detailed curriculum mapping, exam and coursework resit opportunity outline, SOW and unit overview.

Cambridge Technical or National (2-4 hours)

 

2. ICT SPECIALISTS - LEARNING THE MEDIA ASPECTS:

Many IT teachers have been asked to teach the Creative imedia specification, but there is a lot of 'Media Studies' content to become familiar with. As a specialist media teacher, Jennie can help with that!

Cambridge National (2-3 hours)

3. FOCUS ON MANDATORY UNITS:

A breakdown for teachers of the subject content that make up mandatory units and ways to approach the teaching, assessing and moderation of these units.

4. UNIT TEACHING PLAN CHECK:

One of us will look over teaching plans for units or discuss work that has been previously submitted.  Please note that this is not instead of any assessment and moderation processes that are employed within the school and should only be viewed as an additional check.

5. EXAM CONTENT & TECHNIQUES:

Sessions for teachers or students on exam content, how to tackle particular questions or the exam as a whole.

Cambridge Technical or National (1-3 hours)

6. HEALTH CHECK:

A health check to see if the way that the course is being run can be improved, or if new ideas and resources/lesson ideas can inject life into the course. Popular with schools who have been running the course for a while.

Cambridge Technical or National (2 hours)

7. MARKING SUPPORT REPORT:

Provide us with some examples of marked work (this could be a practice, previous coursework or in some instances other coursework) and we will provide you with a report that discusses the accuracy of your marking, or a face to face meeting.
